The best way to search for an article by title is the Advanced Journal Articles Search:

  • From the Milner Library home page, choose the Advanced Search link on the search box under Start Your Research.
  • On the Advanced Search page, change Everything to Journal Articles under Search for.
  • In the top box, enter the title with quotation marks e.g., “Manage Your Energy, Not Your Time”.
  • Select Title from the Keyword dropdown next to the search box.
  • Choose Search.
  • If the article title appears on the search results list, select it and look for a View Online section to check for full text access.
  • If there is no full text option, check the Get It section to see if Milner Library has print access.
  • If Milner Library doesn't have online or print access, Get It will have a Request through Interlibrary Loan link that you can use to request the article from interlibrary loan.  When you login, the interlibrary loan form will be filled out with the information for your article, so all you have to do is double check the information, choose your department from the dropdown, and click Submit Request.

See the Find an Article by Title help video for a demonstration of this process.

If the article is not in the search results, try checking the box next to Expand Beyond Milner Library under Tweak your results.  If the article still does not appear, please Ask Us for help.
