When you use the Everything or Articles searches on the search box under Start Your Research on Milner’s home page or search a library database, you will need a permalink to access the article later.  A URL copied from the browser URL box for an article in a database will give you an error message. On the other hand, a permalink will take you to ISU’s CentralLogin and then to the article or other item. The graphics below show how to access a permalink in Articles Search.

If a database doesn’t have a permalink option, you can use the database email option to send the permalink to your email. If a database doesn’t have permalink or email options, note the citation information (title, author, journal title/vol/issue, date, etc.) for the article or item and search for it again later or save the article to your personal computer, mobile device, or flash drive.
