If you are having difficulty logging onto a Library laptop, try these three steps
1) The most likely cause of login trouble is that the laptops you can check out from the Library show the login screen and allow you to try to login before the computer is actually ready to properly login. Try waiting a few minutes until the white flickering light on the laptop is flashing much more slowly, then try logging in again.
2) If you try waiting and it still won't login, check the the wifi button located on the right side or the front left edge of the laptop, and make sure that it is set to on (laptops with front switch have switch that will look orange if Wi-Fi is off and white if it is on). You may need to try restarting the computer after turning the wifi on before it will let you log on.
3) If that doesn't work, make sure your are entering your ULID and password correctly.
If you are still unable to login to the laptop after trying these three steps, please return the laptop, let the Circulation Desk know that it isn't allowing you to login, and try checking out a different laptop.
