ISU Students, Faculty and Staff:

1. I-Share: First, try searching for your item in the I-Share Catalog, which searches for items from 86 libraries throughout Illinois that we share with.  If you find your item in I-Share, you can try requesting it.  For a demonstration of the request process, see the Request a Book from I-Share help video.

2. Interlibrary Loan: If I-Share doesn't have your book, you may be able to request it using interlibrary loan.  Interlibrary loan items can take 5-7 days or more depending on the item.  Some electronic articles may come as soon as the same day you request them.  For a demonstration of the request process, see our interlibrary loan help videos.

Alumni and Community Members: Unfortunately, I-Share and interlibrary loan services are not available to Alumni and community members.  However, you may be able to find the item you need at your nearest public library, or if it isn't available at your library, use interlibrary loan at your nearest public library to request items that are not available at Milner Library.
