Angeline Vernon Milner was the first fulltime librarian employed by Illinois State Normal University. She was hired in 1890 and worked until 1927. Through her tireless work in cataloging and classification, extending more than 37 years, she transformed several thousand books into a systematically arranged collection totaling more than 40,000.
