If you have located a book, DVD, CD, journal or other Milner Library item in the catalog or Combined Search and you want to find that item in the library, there a number of tools to help you find books in Milner Library:

Understanding Call Numbers web guideThis guide explains how call numbers will look on books or other items in the stacks and how to use your call number from the catalog to locate your book or other item.

Finding Items in Milner web guide:  This guide contains floor maps that highlight where to find different call number ranges, technology, and spaces in the library.

Search Anything Mapping Feature:  When you view search results in Combined Search, each result that is an item available from Milner Library will include a link that says "View on a Map."  Click this link to view an animated floor map that shows you where to go to get your item.  If the map points to the Reference Desk, you need to ask at the Reference Desk about how to obtain the item.  If the item is electronic, the map should show the link to click to access the item.

If you are still having difficulty locating an item after viewing these resources, please ask a librarian.
